I write character-centric, speculative fiction focusing on overcoming the human condition. Yes, I write happily ever afters. Yes, I write my truths. Yes, I believe in hope. My books are always focused on heroes struggling with impossible odds and how they overcome them.

However, some of the words and concepts in  my books may trigger some readers. For example, some books may have a society where surveillance is the norm, which may be problematic for readers who have experienced similar situations. Here is a list, although not all items on this list will be included in every book:

– Constant surveillance/Policing
– Species bigotry, xenophobia
– Anxiety and panic attacks
– Suicidal ideation (for help call/text 988, a suicide and crisis line)
– Physical assault/verbal assault
– Violence
– Political Corruption
– Societal Corruption
– Food and resource scarcity
– Shelter scarcity
– Colonialism
– Misogyny, misandry, ageism, and other -isms
– Machiavellian, narcissistic, and psychopathic personalities

My future worlds are inclusive of all people, cultures, lifestyles, and humanitarian ideologies. I want my worlds to be populated and influenced by people of many different cultures, ancestries, abilities, lifestyles, beliefs, and ideals. I would never want to write a world where it appears we’ve lost this rich aspect of humanity (unless it’s done intentionally). As such, I’m often torn between limiting cultural references to my own life experiences and ancestry and being careful of appropriation. No disrespect is intended, and due credit is always my goal. In future societies, race designation may no longer exist, and descriptions will be based on physical features including skin colors/complexions, ancestry, cultures, and ethnicity the way our eyes (like a camera) would pan.

If you believe I’ve missed a concept that should be included, please feel free to use the contact form to jot a note. Thank you in advance for helping me grow and learn as an author.

P.s. Keep in mind, I can’t promise to respond or use everyone’s ideas. Also, if you’re not a fan and want to message me with unkind words, please know that Greg (the Dragon of Indifference) will devour your message, while contemplating the triviality of life with much scorn and schadenfreude.

You did it!
